Measuring AI ROI Your Executives Actually Believe

Boards have grown tired of AI value claims built on hypothetical hours saved. The programs that keep their funding are the ones that measure against a baseline captured before the first deployment.

Pick two or three metrics the business already reports. Cycle time, cost per transaction, error rate, and revenue per rep are credible because finance already tracks them.

Attribution matters more than magnitude. A modest, clearly attributable improvement will win more budget than a spectacular number nobody can trace.

Report on the same cadence as the rest of the business. AI value should show up in the operating review, not in a separate deck that only the innovation team reads.
